Hello, all.

Been a long time since I've actively been on DA.

Almost 300 page views ago, as a matter of fact.

Life has moved on to a pace I can hardly keep up with, ontop of goals I have to meet before falling leaves calls a close on this summer. College closed up with the passing away of my grandfather. From there, I had to house-sit for almost a month for a relative while I started work. So, it goes.

Work takes up most of my time, nearly all of it. And being alive fills in my small gaps.

Though, it'll be a month and a half or so, and I'll be back to my classes and bookwork, so I'm soaking up the physical labor while it lasts.

I doubt I'll have much time to do any art, or anything like that until I'm settled back into my next semester.

So, you could say I'm on hiatus until then. I miss drawing, and I do check DA regular-like.

So, folks. Please, enjoy your summer. Live life like there's no tomorrow, and chase down all your dreams today, and not tomorrow.

Peace,
Marcel

Well, I finally hit it at somepoint yesterday.

1,000 page views! Thanks everyone!
I'll continue to try and grow, and learn Art. Hopefully, submitting more pretties that people like to view and comment on. =P

Thanks again.

Now, onto business. That 1,000 Page View Kiriban Request. No one claimed it. It's 7:35 AM on a friday, right now. Here's what I figure: For the remainder of the day, the first person to send me a note, will get the request instead. If it goes unclaimed, I'll just have to come up with something else on my own. Though, I was looking forward to doing someone's request. :-D

Good luck!

And, I'll have Mongo's Bar Brawl picture done shortly. I'm plodding away slowly on it.

Also... I renewed my WoW sub. >.>

Okay, okay! I'm slow.

Life has been pretty busy lately, and I've had very little time to myself, let alone for artwork.

I need to finish a couple pictures in the work before anything else, but, before it slips my mind.

I'm planning on doing a Kiriban at 1,000 Page Views. It's approaching pretty quickly after being dormant for so long. So, get a screen shot of the 1,000th view, and you get a request. Send me a note, and we'll talk more.

Uhm. Other than that, I'm still alive. School, life, family, certain somebody keeps me busy.

Take it easy,
Marcel

Progress

Well.... So, I've finally started fudging with Photoshop!

Holy crap, it's fun.

and holy crap, it's hard. There is so much crud I'd never think to put in a picture, but there's a brush for it. And if there's an effect I'd create with a pencil, there's a brush for it.

So much information to learn. It's apt to my head explode.

If anyone knows of some swell guides for covering the basics, feel free to let me know.

Ever Onward!

Hey, look. A journal. Snazzy.

Uh, this is a request posting thing for people who view my page.

I've been down and out from art for quite a long time, couple months. Broken left thumb, and moving out and all. If you glance through my recent stuff, you can see the basic pencil+shade style I use.

I really don't know what I can do to adjust. It seems like I'm just throwing out pencil drawings, and they don't really ever get better. Like, I can't refine the pictures anymore with just the pencil, if that makes sense. I have a wacom tablet, but broke my thumb soon after receiving it...

Inking, the tablet, different pencil types.. all possibilities, but I'm a wee bit on the unlearned side. If anyone has useful tips or wants to give me a talkin' to about what they know... send me a mail here on DA.

Thanks,
Marcel
